About the Role:

  • The Cost Analyst Lead will be responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate receipt, registration, analysis, processing, and filing of all project cost documentation.
  • The role involves supporting the Project Control and Project Team in all matters relating to the Cost Control area.
  • The successful candidate will contribute to delivery of the project on time and within budget.
  • A strict level of confidentiality will be observed throughout the course of the project.
  • The Cost Analyst Lead is accountable for exemplary behaviour in line with HSE rules and requirements and the applicable Code of Conduct policy.
  • The role requires expertise in the following areas:
  • Budgeting
  • Preparing project budgets.
  • Coordinating detailed preparation and issuance of various budgets (internal & external) with input from the project team.
  • Providing ad-hoc support as required.
  • Cost Reporting
  • Preparation of cost control reports.
  • Assisting with cost trend analysis.
  • Monitoring and assessing commitments, variations, and value of work done.
  • Cost Control
  • Monitoring and controlling project expenditures.
  • Input and allocation of commitment data to budgets.
  • Verification of invoices and cash calls from contractors and vendors.
  • Preparation of cash flow estimates and final forecast costs.
  • Filing cost control documents according to the document control system.
  • Administration of the RFS process (open, register, analyze, control, report, closure).
  • Preparation and monitoring of AFEs.
  • Estimation of changes.
  • Development of a Work Breakdown Structure and Cost Breakdown Structure.
  • Establishment of comprehensive cost control procedures.
  • Monitoring of contingency usage.
  • Provision of cost support and guidance to the project team.
  • Acting as the focal point for costing activities.
  • Establishment and maintenance of appropriate costing methodologies.
  • Invoicing
  • Implementation of efficient invoicing processes across project locations.
  • Monitoring of invoices in coordination with the accounting department to ensure timely payments.
