Credit Risk Specialist Job Overview

Our organization seeks a seasoned Credit Risk Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our credit management department, you will play a crucial role in evaluating clients' credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk associated with potential business opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Evaluating clients' credit data and financial statements to assess creditworthiness;
  2. Preparing comprehensive credit reports in accordance with established credit policies;
  3. Collaborating with sales staff to identify new business opportunities and providing expert advice on credit sales models and proposals;
  4. Conducting on-site investigations and compiling site survey reports;
  5. Participating in credit review conferences and implementing the decisions made during these meetings;
  6. Initiating credit sales contract review processes and ensuring timely contract signing;
  7. Implementing risk control measures and collecting relevant contracts, certificates, and other documentation;
  8. Maintaining accurate business ledgers, documentations, and customers' repayment records, while monitoring contract execution and payment collection;
  9. Managing overdue payments, initiating equipment repossession processes when necessary, and exploring legal avenues for recovery;
  10. Developing partnerships with third-party financial institutions and coordinating financing referrals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field (Master's degree preferred);
  • At least 4+ years of experience in a relevant field within Oman;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic;
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Valid driving license; and
  • Oman residency required.
