Job Overview

Air Conditioning and Electrical Technician required to diagnose, repair, and maintain AC systems and electrical components on heavy equipment and industrial machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostic Techniques
    • Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on AC systems to identify refrigerant leaks, component failures, and electrical issues.
    • Troubleshoot complex electrical systems on heavy equipment, generators, forklifts, and crushers, including wiring, sensors, control modules, and power distribution.
    • Utilize diagnostic tools, schematics, and service manuals to pinpoint problems.
  • Maintenance and Repair Expertise
    • Execute repairs on AC systems, including compressor replacement, line repair, condenser/evaporator replacement, and recharging of refrigerants (following safety and environmental regulations).
    • Conduct repairs on electrical components such as starters, alternators, instrumentation, and electronic controls.
  • Specialized Equipment Knowledge
    • Demonstrate expertise in electrical and AC systems of Volvo heavy equipment, generators, forklifts, and Crown equipment.
    • Possess knowledge of electrical systems in generators and aggregate processing machinery.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an Air Conditioning and Electrical Technician.
  • Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems.
  • Relevant technical certification or diploma in heavy equipment mechanics or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
