Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Telecommunication Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in detailed engineering and design of telecommunications works for oil & gas projects.

  • Prepare comprehensive engineering deliverables, including design basis, specifications, system block diagrams, and datasheets.
  • Produce radio coverage calculations, Fresnel zone calculations, estimate antenna height, and perform fiber optic link budget calculations.
  • Analyze data and telephony traffic, capacity/bandwidth, and public address sound pressure level calculations.
  • Conduct telecom equipment power consumption and heat load calculations.
  • Review and provide engineering input on drawings, including device location plans, cable routing layouts, instrument/device installation details, interconnection diagrams, wiring diagrams, circuit/connection diagrams, and MDF/IDF schematics.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in electrical, electronics, or telecommunications engineering with at least 5-10 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Familiarity with relevant international codes, standards, and recommended practices.
  • The ability to carry out design activities in the design-check-approve-authorize cycle and check technical deliverables of designers.
  • General knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, initiative, and analytical skills.
  • Good oral and written English skills to produce fluent documents, reports, and technical notes.
