Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical QA/QC Engineer to join our team.

• This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer to lead and manage quality assurance and control activities across various projects.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards, as well as implementing quality management systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare QMS documents applicable to Electrical Projects, including Project Quality Plans, Inspection Test Plans, and Procedures.
2. Manage day-to-day quality activities, supervise and implement contract quality and technical requirements, and resolve quality problems.
3. Conduct quality audits/inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
4. Coordinate with the Owner/Owner's Engineer representative for QA/QC matters.
5. Collaborate with Construction Manager/Site Engineers for compliance and resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
6. Prepare necessary Work Procedures (Method Statements) and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
7. Implement QA/QC procedures & ITPs towards Subcontract portion of works and generate reports for job completion and deviations.
8. Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at Manufacturer's Premises, including coordination with Client & Consultants to ensure flawless FAT as per the schedule.
9. Conduct material inspections for incoming materials at site as per the Project Specifications & Applicable GA Drawings / Estimates / Purchase orders and arrange timely Client Inspection and preparation of Materials Receipt cum Damage Report.
10. Inspect completed jobs at Site level in line with Approved Drawings and coordinate Client Inspection and certification.
11. Coordinate with client and Site team for closure of Snag points.
12. Prepare Weekly/Monthly Quality Reports at site and submit to Client.
13. Responsible for preparing red-marked Construction and Vendor GA Drawings.
14. Coordinate and collect Protection Red mark-up Drawings.
15. Review As-built versions of drawings inline with submitted Red mark-up drawings.
16. Maintain all Quality Records in line with Project requirements.
17. Site Store Management and implementation of materials preservation as per vendor manual and approved procedures.
18. Manage Quality Walkdowns to ensure compliance with quality standards.
19. Responsible for coordinating auditing activities - internal, external, and follow up and close out of Corrective Actions.
20. Responsible for review, verification, and closing of non-conformities.
21. Compile final As-built documentation as per the Project and customer requirements and further submission to Owner/Owner's Engineer for review and approval, which includes submissions required for Taking Over Certificate and Final Acceptance Certificate (Gate Documents and GIS Data).

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Tech/BE) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 10 years of overall experience in Quality Management Systems, with at least 8 years specifically in Transmission and Distribution (T&D) projects.
• Proven expertise in quality management throughout all project phases, including design/engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
• Certified Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
• Well-versed in relevant codes and standards applicable to Electrical Transmission and Distribution projects.
• Familiar with industry standards and procedures followed by PDO, OETC, NED, and similar authorities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills are essential.
