Clinical pharmacists play a vital role in oncology, ensuring that medications prescribed for patients contribute to the best possible health outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy and at least 6 years of clinical practice experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, preferably in oncology.

Key responsibilities include working directly with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to assess the status of patient health problems and determine whether prescribed medications are optimally meeting patient needs and goals of care.

Additional duties include evaluating the appropriateness and effectiveness of patient medications, advising and counseling patients and caregivers on medication usage, and contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and research initiatives.
