Job Summary:

This is a dynamic opportunity for a seasoned Production Lead to join our team. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled craftsmen and overseeing the production of custom furniture and cabinetry.

About the Role:

  • Production Management: Oversee the production process, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of skilled craftsmen, providing guidance and support as needed to achieve project goals.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and stock management.
  • Health and Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Monitor and maintain workshop equipment, ensuring regular maintenance and prompt repairs.
  • Process Improvements: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Project Timelines: Manage project timelines, ensuring that all work is completed on schedule and within standards.
  • Quality Checks: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all products meet design specifications and standards.
  • Tech Support: Provide technical advice and solutions to resolve any production issues or challenges.

Requirements:

  • Work Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a carpentry or joinery workshop, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Sector Experience: Experience working in the commercial sector particularly within the retail, F&B and office fitouts with a strong portfolio.
  • Carpentry Skills: Strong knowledge of carpentry and joinery techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Technical Drawing: Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Health and Safety: Good understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in a workshop environment.
  • Machinery Proficiency: Proficiency in using workshop machinery and equipment.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Languages: Fluency in English and Hindi.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, diploma or adequate Certification in Carpentry, Joinery, Woodworking, or a related field.
