Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Engineer to oversee Indirect Materials & Services across the UAE and Oman. This role will encompass responsibility for sourcing and vendor management, purchase order management, cost optimization, quality control, and compliance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and Vendor Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for indirect materials/service, spare parts, and other plant & Quarry needs.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and delivery terms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed metrics (quality, delivery, cost) and address any issues.

Purchase Order Management:

  • Generate and process purchase orders based on plant & Quarry production requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods by tracking purchase orders and communicating with suppliers.

Cost Optimization:

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations, volume discounts, and alternative sourcing strategies.
  • Analyze spending data to identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and track their impact.

Quality Control:

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance team to ensure procured materials meet quality standards.
  • Implement quality checks on incoming deliveries.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Adhere to company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Generate regular reports on procurement activity, including cost analysis and savings achieved.
