About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Director to lead our construction activities related to bridges and structural works.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the construction of bridges and related structures, with a strong understanding of structural engineering, construction methods, and materials.

They will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction activities, collaborating with engineering, design, and procurement teams, and ensuring smooth project execution.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring project timelines, standards, and quality controls, evaluating compliance with international safety standards and construction regulations, and establishing strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage construction activities related to bridges and structural works.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and procurement teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project timelines, standards, and quality controls.
  • Evaluate compliance with international safety standards and construction regulations.
  • Establish strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
  • Prepare detailed progress reports, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
  • Lead site teams and subcontractors to achieve project milestones.
  • Manage resource planning, material procurement, and logistics management.
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve technical and construction-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Minimum 15 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in overseas projects.
  • Substantial experience in the construction of bridges and related structures.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering, construction methods, and materials.
  • Familiarity with international construction codes and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in construction management software and MS Office tools.
