Plant Construction Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Plant Construction Operations Manager to oversee the construction of a new Wind Turbine Plant in Oman, commencing in 2025. This role demands a skilled professional with extensive experience in the construction industry, particularly in plant construction and renewable energy projects.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Project Execution & Quality Assurance
  1. Direct and supervise project teams to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  2. Evaluate and verify project deliverables to guarantee quality standards.
  3. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to address any issues promptly.
Operations Management & Team Leadership
  1. Lead and motivate project teams to achieve set objectives.
  2. Develop and implement performance evaluation frameworks to assess team members' contributions.
  3. Recognize and reward outstanding performances while addressing areas of improvement.
Supply Chain Management & Risk Mitigation
  1. Identify and assess potential risks, developing mitigation strategies accordingly.
  2. Maintain thorough understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
  3. Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors, focusing on mutual benefits.
Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Certifications:

PMP, CCM, or equivalent professional certifications preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 10–15 years in the construction industry, with a focus on plant construction and renewable energy projects.

Experience in managing large-scale projects, preferably with a budget of $150M or more.

Technical Knowledge:

Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and engineering practices.

Proficiency in project management software and basic design review tools.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.

Work Environment & Expectations:

- This is a site-based role requiring full-time presence on-site.

- Office coordination and occasional travel may be required to meet with suppliers, consultants, or remote teams.

- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines.
