Construction Project Lead - Renewable Energy

We are seeking an accomplished Construction Project Lead to oversee the construction of a new Wind Turbine Plant in Oman, starting in 2025. This role demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the construction industry, particularly in renewable energy projects, and large-scale industrial facilities.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  2. Manage and allocate resources efficiently to meet project objectives.
  3. Coordinate closely with stakeholders, including clients, investors, and government agencies.
  4. Maintain accurate records and documents throughout the project.
Project Execution & Quality Assurance
  1. Schedule and manage all project activities, adhering to established timelines.
  2. Evaluate and approve contractor bids, ensuring value for money.
  3. Inspect and verify project deliverables to guarantee quality standards.
  4. Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders to address any issues promptly.
Team Collaboration & Performance Monitoring
  1. Lead and motivate project teams to achieve set objectives.
  2. Develop and implement performance evaluation frameworks to assess team members' contributions.
  3. Recognize and reward outstanding performances while addressing areas of improvement.
Risk Management & Contract Negotiation
  1. Identify and assess potential risks, developing mitigation strategies accordingly.
  2. Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors, focusing on mutual benefits.
  3. Maintain a thorough understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Certifications:

PMP, CCM, or equivalent professional certifications preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 10–15 years in the construction industry, with a focus on renewable energy and plant construction.

Experience in managing large-scale projects, preferably with a budget of $150M or more.

Technical Knowledge:

Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and engineering practices.

Proficiency in project management software and basic design review tools.

Soft Skills:

Outstanding leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.

Work Environment & Expectations:

- This is a site-based role requiring full-time presence on-site.

- Office coordination and occasional travel may be required to meet with suppliers, consultants, or remote teams.

- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines.
