Hotel Maintenance Manager

Achieving excellence in hotel maintenance requires a unique blend of technical expertise and people management skills. As the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing daily engineering needs, planning, and assigning work to ensure that the right team is in place.

You will develop your team through coaching and feedback, creating performance and development goals, and recognizing good performance. Additionally, you will recommend or initiate HR-related actions as needed.

To ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and team members, you will comply with policies and regulations. You will maintain relations with outside contacts including guests and regulatory agencies.

The ideal candidate will have advanced vocational training and four years of experience in general building maintenance and/or construction or equivalent education and experience.

Expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields is essential. Level 3 EPA Certification, HVAC and refrigeration certificates, licensed plumber, and/or journeyman status for electrician and carpenter may be required.

Hotel experience is preferred, and professional certifications and licenses as required by law are necessary.

  • Maintain positive relationships with guests and external contacts.
