High-Performance Computing Engineer

This role is a unique opportunity to join an innovative team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge HPC solutions. As a High-Performance Computing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient algorithms and data structures to optimize compute performance.

You will work closely with a globally distributed team to develop charms to deploy and manage HPC clusters and provide HPC software packages. Your expertise in Python software development will enable you to create high-quality, rigorously designed code that meets the highest standards of precision, efficiency, and automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient algorithms and data structures to optimize compute performance
  • Develop charms to deploy and manage HPC clusters and provide HPC software packages
  • Collaborate proactively with a globally distributed team to resolve issues and improve overall system performance
  • Contribute to technical documentation outlining best practices for high-quality operators
  • Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding effective solutions

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or related fields
  • Experience in writing modern, maintainable Python code
  • A passion for technology and working with talented individuals
  • Curiosity, flexibility, articulation, and accountability
  • Soft skills such as being passionate, enterprising, thoughtful, and self-motivated
  • Interest and experience in two or more of the following: Linux, Kubernetes, Public cloud, OpenStack, LXC/LXD, Python, Go, Debian packaging
