We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Communications Specialist to join our team. This is a challenging role that requires a high degree of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the telecommunications and networking industry. They should be familiar with various communication systems infrastructure, including VSAT, switches, routers, wireless LAN, telephone systems, WiFi access points, radios, and Thuraya units.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all communication systems infrastructure in the field, administering and supporting network backbone and edge switches, coordinating with ISP contacts, managing administrative tasks, diagnosing hardware and software issues, logging and tracking user problems through established IT ticketing systems, and testing and installing new equipment as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • TCP/IP, Networking Technologies, Routing and switching protocols.
  • Cisco Call Manager and Cisco wireless controller knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, Access Points, and IP Phones.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
