**Job Overview**
The Chief Technical Director is responsible for overseeing and directing a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the hotel's facilities, equipment, and systems.
This position requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- To lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians responsible for maintaining and repairing the hotel's facilities, equipment, and systems.
- To plan, direct, control, coordinate, and participate in the activities of all personnel engaged in maintenance activities.
- To ensure that all maintenance work is performed safely, efficiently, and effectively.
- To coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimal disruption to hotel services.
- To develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and systems.
- To conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and take corrective action before they become major problems.
- To ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- To maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including scheduling, labor hours, and materials used.
- To analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- To develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce energy consumption and waste.
- To collaborate with the purchasing department to source materials and supplies.
- To prepare budgets, forecasts, and reports as required by management.
Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior engineering role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Proven track record of successful project management and leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other technical tools.
