Financial Specialist Job Description

Sohar Port and Freezone, a deep-sea port in the Sultanate of Oman, is managed by a joint venture between the Port of Rotterdam and the Sultanate of Oman.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations: Record financial transactions accurately, maintain general ledgers, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Invoicing Management: Prepare and process invoices, generate accounts receivable aging reports, and track overdue payments.
  • Financial Analysis Support: Assist in preparing accurate departmental reports and statements, identify opportunities for improvement, and maintain confidentiality standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • 3 years' experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs and good computing skills.
  • Maintain high confidentiality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
