Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Mechanical Equipment Technician. This position involves servicing and maintaining large engines and compression equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform routine maintenance activities on rotating and static mechanical equipment, including engines, compressors, turbines, and pumps.
    • Troubleshoot and recommend actions to prevent equipment failures.
    • Handle and maintain tools and equipment used for performing maintenance activities.
    • Identify and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
    • Assist in creating work orders and updating records in a maintenance management system.
    • Develop procedures and strategies for improving maintenance programs.
    • Monitor the performance of all mechanical equipment through daily logs.
    • Ensure housekeeping and plant cleanliness during and after maintenance.
    • Maintain effective communication with clients and customers.
    • Follow established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a technical degree in mechanical or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar, Waukesha engines, Ariel, Superior, and Dresser Rand compressors.
  • Basic knowledge of troubleshooting, problem-solving, and information analysis interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of Maintenance Management System methodology.
  • Computer proficiency is mandatory. Good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of software is required.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Good command of English, written and spoken. Arabic is an asset.
