Mechanical Technician with Port Experience Job

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team in Oman. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy-duty port machinery.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on port equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in container handling machinery.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and safety compliance.
  • Assist in overhauling engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Follow maintenance schedules and keep accurate service records.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with Oman's safety and environmental regulations.

The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Experience with diagnostic tools and welding/fabrication is a plus.

Key Qualifications:

  • Diploma inMechanical Engineering / Automobile / Heavy Equipment Maintenance.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in maintaining port equipment (Reachstackers, Terminal Trucks, Empty Handlers, etc.).
  • Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in English/Hindi/Arabic (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
