General Farm Sanitation Manager

Become a key player in farm operations as we seek a General Farm Housekeeping Manager - Poultry to oversee the cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation of our facilities.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the overall housekeeping and maintenance of our farm, office spaces, staff accommodations, and animal living areas with a focus on animal care and biosecurity.

• A High School diploma or certification in housekeeping, sanitation, or a related field is required. Certification in farm management, animal husbandry, or food safety management systems is an advantage.
• At least 8 years of experience in farm operations, with a focus on animal care, cleaning, and hygiene in East European / Western countries.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, overseeing a team of workers in a farm or similar setting.
• Experience in managing the housekeeping or sanitation of large-scale farms or agricultural operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Animal Hygiene and Care:

• Develop and implement deep cleaning schedules for animal enclosures, barns, and other housing areas to ensure optimal hygiene.
• Supervise and participate in regular deep cleaning of animal living spaces, including removing waste, disinfecting areas, and ensuring dry and clean bedding.

Facility Maintenance:

• Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of all farm facilities, office spaces, restrooms, barns, hen houses, packing rooms, storage areas, feeding stations, and surrounding grounds.
• Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained, stored, and used safely by staff. Manage waste disposal, including organic waste and hazardous materials, in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Implement and enforce safety protocols related to cleaning and hygiene, ensuring all staff adhere to best practices.
• Maintain records of cleaning schedules, daily inspections, and any incidents related to hygiene or safety.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor and manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other necessary materials.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely re-stocking of supplies and equipment needed for housekeeping tasks.
