Senior Cost Analyst

This role involves providing strategic cost management and financial control for projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project accounting, with experience in developing and implementing cost control systems.

  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to establish project cost methodologies and reporting frameworks.
  • Developing procedures for estimate preparation, including modification and addition estimates for onshore and offshore facilities.
  • Preparing and supervising the preparation of detailed estimates, incorporating engineering deliverables and vendor prices.
  • Incorporating engineering estimates into overall project estimates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Validating and verifying estimates using industry norms and comparing with previous estimates, outcome costs, and vendor prices.
  • Implementing and controlling project accounting and job costing systems to meet project objectives.
  • Taking ownership of cost control functions and ensuring data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Interface with project teams to develop project forecasts and analyze project costs.
  • Liaising with clients to clarify cost-related issues and develop timely and meaningful invoices, ensuring payment according to contract terms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in cost analysis/project accounting, with a strong background in developing and implementing cost control systems.
  • Experience with SAP or other mainstream cost controller systems.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external.
