Job Description

The Pastries Team Lead is a senior role within the culinary team, responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of pastries and desserts.

About the Role:

  1. Lead a team of pastry staff to ensure efficient production and high-quality standards are met.
  2. Develop and implement new recipes, menus, and display ideas to enhance the customer experience.
  3. Collaborate with other kitchen teams to coordinate events and ensure seamless service delivery.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering processes to minimize waste and optimize resources.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Prepare and present high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts that meet customer expectations.
  • Cultivate relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices and improve product quality.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce food costs and waste.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to feedback in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pastry arts, with a focus on leadership and team management.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
