Chief Information Officer

About the Role:

The Chief Information Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's information technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and efficient operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement information systems to support business growth and productivity.
  • Maintain and upgrade computer hardware, software, and networks to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Plan, organize, and control IT operations to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, and evaluating their performance.
  • Design and implement systems, policies, and procedures to ensure data security and integrity.
  • Evaluate and improve network access, backup systems, and server maintenance to prevent data loss.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures to protect the organization's assets and reputation.
  • Audit and assess IT systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Protect company assets, information security, and control structures from internal and external threats.
  • Prepare and update the company network to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Create and maintain user IDs, folders, and profiles with proper approvals.
  • Implement and maintain antivirus programs and data files to prevent virus attacks.
  • Troubleshoot software assets and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining new systems and ERP solutions.
  • Ensure secure storage and custody of all storage media.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to plan IT requirements and forecast IT budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures at all times.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the HOD Finance to manage IT operations and budgets.
  • Collaborate with the accounts team as directed by the HOD Finance.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
