Senior External Audit Professional

As a highly skilled External Audit Senior Associate, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to our clients in the Financial Services (Banking) sector. This role is an excellent opportunity to grow your career and develop your expertise in assurance.

We are seeking a talented individual with strong analytical skills and experience in external audit. As an External Audit Senior Associate, you will work closely with Managers and Partners to deliver engaging quality audits and other risk services to our clients.

• Use your analytical skills to analyze client financial statements and ensure adherence to financial regulations

• Examine financial and accounting records, other documents, and tangible items such as inventory or plant and equipment

• Ask a range of questions from formal written questions to informal oral questions to individuals at our client organizations

• Test client organization's internal controls and processes

• Build trust and credibility with clients by understanding their expectations and delivering high-quality services

• Take accountability for researching and understanding key facts on client industry information before the engagement begins

• Communicate with Manager and/or Partner in a timely manner regarding engagement progress risks, issues, variances from plan in terms of time, budget, etc.

• Take full ownership of external file completion

• Analyze engagement economics of self and field staff and explain variances from budgets

• Review the work of associate levels and provide them on-job training, coaching, and timely constructive feedback to help them grow in their careers

• Ensure compliance with risk, quality, and independence matters

• Engage and deal effectively with diverse teams from planning through completion phase of the audit as well as closely follow up on progress of requested tasks to ensure meeting timelines and firm's internal KPIs

• Participate in digital initiatives and upskilling areas that align most with team business needs

• Perform other procedures as necessary to support issuance of assurance deliverables

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related academic major

• Completed or pursuing a professional qualification, such as ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA (preferably)

• Progressive experience at the Senior Associate level working with various external audit clients in a Big 4 professional services firm

• Experience working with diverse range of industries

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to thrive in a team environment

• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written) is a plus

• Business development and client relationship building skills

• Willingness to challenge norms and create cohesive and effective working teams

• Excellent project management skills

• Knowledge in any Audit technologies, and experience using Data Analytics tools is a plus
