Internal Audit Professional

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough and efficient audits in accordance with our audit plan, ensuring that tasks are completed within allotted timeframes. This includes executing assigned areas per standards, monitoring and controlling audit assistants, and preparing work papers and audit conclusions according to our unit's standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct detailed audits in line with our audit plan, identifying potential risks and control deficiencies.
  2. Oversee and direct the work of audit assistants, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  3. Prepare comprehensive work papers and audit conclusions that meet our unit's standards.
  4. Develop and implement recommendations to improve internal controls and processes.
  5. Participate in financial statement reviews and provide written input to senior auditors on audit reports.
  6. Assist in preparing the Internal Audit Plan and collaborating with business owners to implement recommendations.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IFRS updates and other relevant developments in internal auditing.

Requirements:

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and auditing principles, as well as international auditing standards.

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in internal auditing or a related field.
