As a Telecommunications Engineer Level II, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed engineering deliverables, including design basis, specifications, system block diagrams, and datasheets.
  • Perform complex calculations, such as radio coverage, Fresnel zone, and antenna height estimations.
  • Conduct fiber optic link budget calculations, data and telephony traffic analysis, capacity/bandwidth calculations, and public address sound pressure level calculations.
  • Provide engineering input to drawings, including device location plans, cable routing layouts, instrument/device installation details, interconnection diagrams, wiring diagrams, circuit & connection diagrams, cable block diagrams, and MDF/IDF schematics.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and review their deliverables.
  • Carry out onshore and offshore site surveys as required.
  • Attend interface meetings with clients and vendors to progress design scopes.
  • Review telecom system vendor offers, prepare technical clarifications, and produce technical bid evaluation reports.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering, with at least 5-10 years of experience in detailed engineering and design of telecommunications works for oil & gas projects in similar positions.
  • Familiarity with relevant international codes, standards, and recommended practices.
  • Competence in carrying out design activities in the design-check-approve-authorize cycle and checking technical deliverables of designers.
  • General knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivation, results orientation, and flexibility to work well under tight schedules in fast-paced multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving, initiative, and analytical skills.
  • Good oral and written English skills to produce fluent documents, reports, and technical notes.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in senior design discipline positions.
  • Completion of three major design projects for oil, water, and gas.
  • Multi-disciplinary project experience in concept, FEED, and detail engineering of telecommunications systems, including CCTV, ACS, PA/GA, control systems networks, local area networks, and telephone systems.
  • Experience in middle-east projects of national oil companies.
