Senior Financial Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budgeting and forecasting by analyzing historical data and providing insights into financial trends.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with auditors during annual audit processes, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries promptly.
  • Accounting Systems: Maintain and update accounting systems, ensuring data integrity and the implementation of best practices.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations while optimizing tax liabilities.
  • Financial Analysis: Lead financial analysis projects, interpreting complex data sets to identify key business drivers and opportunities for growth.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory for credibility.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles within a corporate environment.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working in industries such as health and medical field, retail, or financial services is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and recommend actionable solutions.
