Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacist to manage the operations of our drug store in Muscat. The ideal candidate will have excellent inventory management skills, be able to ensure compliance with local regulations, and maintain high-quality standards for all pharmaceutical products.

About the Role

The role involves overseeing stock levels of medications, ensuring proper storage conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.), conducting regular inventory checks and audits, and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will also be responsible for verifying the quality and authenticity of received drugs, ensuring adherence to MOH guidelines, and preparing documentation for inspections by regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor stock levels of medications, ensuring proper storage conditions.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to maintain accurate records.
  • Oversee safe disposal of expired or damaged medications in compliance with Oman regulations.
  • Verify the quality and authenticity of received drugs and ensure adherence to MOH guidelines.
  • Maintain complete documentation including invoices, batch details, and supplier records.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, controlled substance handling, and local drug laws.
  • Perform quality checks on pharmaceutical supplies to meet safety and regulatory standards.
  • Inspect and maintain storage facilities in line with Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
  • Analyze stock usage trends and provide input on procurement planning.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Nationality: Omani Nationals only.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (BPharm).
  • Licensing: Must hold (or be eligible for) a valid Pharmacist license from the Oman Ministry of Health.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with pharmacy inventory management software is an advantage.
