Job Title: Senior Payments Consultant

  • Job Description:

The role of a senior payments consultant involves ensuring that the company's roadmap aligns with market needs and industry trends. This requires maintaining an updated roadmap, leading business analysis and requirements definition, attending team meetings, gathering requirements from various sources, identifying and documenting functional and non-functional requirements, negotiating requirements' details, providing vision and direction to the team and stakeholders throughout the project, analyzing the impact of new requirements and changes, participating in software design, documenting solutions, and authoring high-quality product documentation.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess significant banking experience, particularly in payments, with practical application in both customer-facing and operational aspects. You should also have excellent skills in requirements gathering and detailing, organizing requirements, and defining them into stories with product owners for the development team. Additionally, you should have solid knowledge of various payment types, including SWIFT, MI Payments, Cross-Border Corridors, and Remittance Management. Knowledge of MI payments in GCC, MENA, and other regions is advantageous.

  • Key Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities will include maintaining an updated roadmap, leading business analysis and requirements definition, attending team meetings, gathering requirements from various sources, identifying and documenting functional and non-functional requirements, negotiating requirements' details, providing vision and direction to the team and stakeholders throughout the project, analyzing the impact of new requirements and changes, participating in software design, documenting solutions, and authoring high-quality product documentation.

  • Essential Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills in English, as well as excellent team player skills with strong knowledge transfer to product owners and development engineers. You should also have sharp analytical, problem-solving, and research skills, as well as exceptional documentation skills for design and storytelling, bridging the gap between business and technical teams.

  • Benefits:

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on multiple payments-related projects with banks, FIs, and/or PSPs in the MENA region (GCC and tier 1 banks projects are preferred). You will have the chance to supervise requirements testing and deliverables acceptance prior to sharing with the business team for testing.

A background in software development is desirable, but not essential.
