Head of Distribution Role Overview

This leadership position oversees the airline's indirect distribution strategy, focusing on revenue maximisation while monitoring costs. The Head will drive informed decisions using data and insights.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the overall distribution strategy in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong relationships within the travel agent community and manage BSP and IATA-related relationships.
  • Manage GDS contracts to ensure optimal distribution penetration and negotiate best-practice commercial terms.
  • Evaluate new distribution channels, including NDC, to enhance revenue growth.
  • Monitor and report on sales performances by point of sale/location and distribution channel.
  • Assess and recommend cost-saving measures by distribution channel.
Budget & PlanningManage departmental cost budget and collaborate with the Commercial team to achieve revenue targets.Work closely with stakeholders to achieve business goals.
