Data Governance Engineer

Job Summary:
">- This role entails defining, monitoring, and executing data governance policies.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining data labeling and quality metrics in the data catalog.
- Deploying and operating services developed by the team.
- Coaching, mentoring, and offering career development feedback depending on seniority.
- Developing and evangelizing great engineering and organizational practices.
Key Responsibilities:
">- Define data governance policies and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Develop and maintain an internal data catalog with automated data labeling and quality metrics.
- Perform access management and ensure data security best practices.
- Collaborate with the Data Governance team to enable secure and well-governed access to comprehensive data sets.
- Design and implement data governance processes using open-source tools such as Trino and Ranger.
Requirements:
">- Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path.
- Track record of delivering outstanding results beyond expectations.
- Experience with data quality, governance, and security processes and tools.
- Proficiency in software development using Python and SQL.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments.
- Ability to travel internationally for company events.
