About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Data Governance Engineer to join our team. As a mid-senior level role, you will be responsible for defining, monitoring, and executing data governance policies in compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory frameworks.

You will work closely with the Commercial Systems unit to enable secure and well-governed access to comprehensive data sets originating from various internal and external sources.

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining tooling for automated data mesh operations, deploying and operating services developed by the team, and coaching, mentoring, and offering career development feedback to junior team members.

What You Will Do:

  • Define, monitor, and execute data governance policies
  • Design, implement, and maintain tooling for automated data mesh operations
  • Deploy and operate services developed by the team
  • Coach, mentor, and offer career development feedback

Requirements:

  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or alternative chosen path
  • Track record of achieving outstanding results beyond expectations
  • Experience with data quality, governance, and security processes and tools
  • Proficiency in software development in Python and SQL
  • Excellent written and spoken English with presentation skills
  • Result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Performance engineering and security experience
  • Experience with Airbyte, Ranger, Superset, Temporal, or Trino
