Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Information Manager to join our team in Oman. This exciting role involves developing and implementing information management strategies, standards, and processes for client-facing projects and programs.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in information systems or equivalent and technical qualifications such as APM IM, Association of Information Managers certifications. They should also possess expertise in IM software, including Aconex, ViewPoint, Business Collaborator, SharePoint, etc.

Responsibilities include establishing and managing the project/programme information management function, training colleagues in IM practices and processes, and promoting awareness and continuous improvement.

The selected individual will contribute to the global digital centre of excellence, develop knowledge base, processes, and case studies, and collaborate with the net zero carbon transition by proactively managing associated emissions and reductions during project delivery.

  • Defining and delivering IM strategies, standards (including ISO19650), and processes for client-facing projects and programmes.
  • Establishing and managing the project/programme IM function following set strategies, standards, and processes.
  • Training project/programme colleagues in IM practices and processes, and promoting awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Managing assurance and quality control of documents and artefacts submitted and stored.
  • Line managing, coaching, and supporting the IM team working on the project, including direct and indirect reports.
  • Contributing to the global digital centre of excellence, including knowledge base, processes, and case studies.
  • Contributing to bids with IM strategies and solutions.
  • Supporting the setup, implementation, and development of the common data environment (CDE).
  • Collaborating towards the net zero carbon transition by proactively managing associated emissions and reductions during project delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience in information management across multiple projects and programmes, including information architecture, naming conventions, and ISO19650 standards is necessary. Additionally, proficiency in Revit and Solibri, model assurance, is required.

The ideal candidate will have experience with PowerBI, extensive project and programme experience in IM and document control, and experience setting up document control and IM functions.

A strong understanding of ISO 19650 series and CDE management, along with effective communication skills, both written and oral, is essential.

Effective negotiation skills, experience working with stakeholders at all levels, disciplined running of IM processes, and ability to work independently, be organized, and manage boundaries are valuable qualities in this role.
