Senior Test Specialist

Drive and oversee the testing process for projects initiated through formal proposals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing within the banking sector, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest quality standards and adhere to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Planning & Strategy:
    • Create comprehensive test plans and strategies for project-based initiatives, aligning with project objectives and timelines.
    • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to understand requirements and define testing scopes.
  • Test Design & Execution:
    • Design detailed test cases covering functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
    • Execute test cases, document results, and track defects through to resolution.
  • Automation & Tools:
    • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to enhance efficiency and coverage.
    • Utilize testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestNG, and others relevant to the bank's technology stack.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:
    • Ensure that all testing activities comply with Bank Muscat's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in audits and reviews to demonstrate adherence to quality assurance processes.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing progress, risks, and issues.
    • Facilitate meetings and discussions to resolve testing-related concerns.
    Desired Skills & Qualifications:
    • Extensive experience in software testing within the banking sector.
    • Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, and TestNG.
