Billing System Engineering Manager Role

We are seeking a skilled Billing System Engineering Manager to lead our Commercial Systems team. This engineering management role offers the opportunity to build a career with us and drive business success.

The Commercial Systems unit has several areas of responsibility spread across six engineering teams, collaborating closely with other engineering and business teams. Our services are at the heart of our business, and Salesforce plays a crucial role in them.

The Billing team's mission is to develop an internal billing system, delivering a consistent billing experience to all customers across products and services, and across service delivery methods. This challenging assignment requires close cooperation with business departments to ensure accurate and reliable customer billing, while achieving high engineering standards.

As a Billing System Engineering Manager, your day will be filled with leading, mentoring, and hiring software engineers; seeking improvements to established processes, designs, and engineering solutions; partnering with business customers to understand their needs; collaborating on business analysis and technical designs; and delivering engineering solutions.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as a software developer in a high-level language, preferably Go or Python
  • Hands-on experience as an engineering manager or team lead
  • Designing or implementing billing systems experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Able to collaborate remotely with diverse team members and stakeholders
  • Able to travel internationally for one week at a time, approximately 2-4 times per year

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Salesforce or NetSuite
  • Business experience in sales, finance, or operations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
