Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embedded Linux Field Engineer to join our team. As an Embedded Linux Field Engineer, you will be responsible for expanding our reach in mission-critical industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco.

About the Role:
  • You will engage with customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology.
  • You will elaborate solutions to be proposed to prospective clients.
  • You will participate in the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux.
  • You will convey market requirements to key stakeholders in our organization, and sometimes participate in the development or refining of generic solutions to unlock market potential.

This role requires a unique blend of skills: successful candidates will know Linux well, be proficient coders and scripters, have experience of low-level Linux boot, BIOS, EFI, Secure Boot, firmware, OS distribution packaging, and embedded software development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver technical presentations and demos to customers and partners.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
  3. Provide expert advice on Embedded Linux solutions and technologies.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Embedded Linux development and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of Linux kernel and device drivers.
  • Proficient coding and scripting skills.
  • Experience of low-level Linux boot, BIOS, EFI, Secure Boot, firmware, OS distribution packaging, and embedded software development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role within a company that specializes in Embedded Linux solutions.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and certifications.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
