**Project Planning Specialist Role at a Leading Organization**

The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee all planning activities related to large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  2. Track project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  3. Supervise the creation and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures, Project Controls Systems, and interfaces with financial accounting systems within established procedures.
  4. Provide guidance on the development of Project Plans and schedules using standard business software.
  5. Coordinate Risk workshops, track actions, and maintain updated Risk Registers.
  6. Coordinate Management of Change (MoC) workshops, track actions, and maintain updated MoC Registers.
  7. Advise the project team on deviations from the plan and recommend corrective action.
  8. Verify cost control codes for invoices received and update the value of work done.
  9. Monitor project procurement activities and make adjustments for timing and cost deviations.
Requirements:
  • Preference will be given to Omani nationals.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the discipline and 5 years in projects is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Planning Tools such as Primavera, MS Project, and MS Office is essential.
  • Knowledge of Budget and cost Control techniques is necessary.
  • A strong personal commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Leadership is expected.
  • Significant technical knowledge in Project Services competencies is desired.
