
Account Payable Lead

- Payroll Management:
- You will be responsible for providing an effective payroll auditing system, ensuring all payroll actions are authorized and valid, and verifying attendance records and benefits documentation.
- Your duties will include calculating and processing payroll, including deductions and contributions, as well as ensuring accurate payments for departing employees and updating payroll records.
- You will also reconcile payroll costs and prepare journal entries, and ensure timely payments for payroll tax and contributions.
- Financial Reporting and Reconciliation:
- You will summarize costs for departmental reports and maintain organized files supporting payroll and expenses.
- Reconciling payroll and benefit accounts monthly is another critical task, as is assisting in month-end closing and inventory reconciliation.
- Accounts Payable and Expenses:
- You will manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and supporting documents, reviewing petty cash vouchers, and processing payments.
- Preparing account allocations and controlling cash disbursements, coordinating payment approvals, and issuing cheques are also essential responsibilities.
- You will handle accruals for goods, services, and commitments, reconcile vendor statements, and negotiate with vendors for discounts and review service agreements.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintaining up-to-date employee and payroll records is crucial, as is coordinating with Human Resources on employee procedures.
- You will assist in preparing reports, streamlining processes, and supporting audits, and perform other duties as assigned by the Financial Management.
- Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience, is required.
- At least three years in hotel accounting or internal audit, with supervisory experience, is also necessary.
