About the Role

The QC Officer will work closely with the Process Quality Lead and the Production Team to resolve non-conformances and implement effective corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily inspections and tests on production to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Operate chemical analysis for products and water in process samples daily.
  • Ensure GMP and sanitation practices, quality policies, and food safety regulations are followed effectively on the shop floor.
  • Visually inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods against specifications.
  • Investigate and manage food safety incidents; implement corrective actions and report to the line manager.
  • Prepare Batch Production Report (BPR) daily as per the plan before shift ends and deliver it to the production officer.
  • Monitor deviations in the facility regarding all quality standards and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in customer complaint investigations and corrective actions with operations and line manager.
  • Support plant equipment calibration program with the Quality Assurance officer.
  • Oversee laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Train operators, helpers, contractual labor, and production officers on GMP, HACCP, and Quality policy following the quality training plan.
  • Determine rejections, MI, hold, and release items.
Qualifications and Skills
  • University degree preferably in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field of study.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the food industry with similar processing.
  • Knowledge of international food safety standards and food security standards.
  • Analytical skills, problem-solving, decision-making, and ability to develop corrective actions.
  • Training or knowledge in HACCP, BRC, Internal Audit, and ISO 22000 preferred.
