Lead the implementation of environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives across a financial institution. This role is responsible for overseeing the deployment of ESG policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the end-to-end deployment of ESG policies and procedures, ensuring timely completion and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into business operations, including risk management, finance, human resources and IT.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance ESG performance, including sustainability reporting, stakeholder engagement and crisis management.
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with relevant ESG regulations and industry standards, including those related to climate change, human rights and anti-bribery.
  • Coordinate preparation of periodic ESG reports and disclosures, including board-level updates and other reporting obligations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, auditors and consultants.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote ESG awareness and understanding, including staff, customers, investors and community groups.
  • Establish and maintain effective governance mechanisms to ensure ESG considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to manage ESG risks and opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sustainability or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in project management, risk, compliance or sustainability roles, ideally within the financial sector.
  • Strong understanding of ESG principles, regulations and industry standards, including IFRS S1/S2, TCFD and EU taxonomy.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and project management skills.
