The Role of a Biomedical Equipment Technician involves ensuring that medical equipment is functioning correctly and safely. To achieve this, the incumbent will be accountable for providing top-notch customer service and technical support.

Job Accountabilities
  • Adhere to relevant policies and procedures.
Preventive Maintenance
  • Regularly plan and execute preventive maintenance in line with Health Authority/Quality Control regulations.
  • Ensure all machines receive timely preventive maintenance.
  • Installation of products trained on.
  • Coordinate pre-installation requirements for free commitment or local supply of instruments ordered.
  • Verify proper installation of machines to avoid issues with customers.
Maintenance and Repairs
  • Corrective actions for breakdown calls should be timely and efficient.
  • Arrange deliveries of spare parts received in a timely manner.
Training and Development
  • Attend training sessions as scheduled or required.
Administrative Tasks
  • Submit weekly reports in a timely fashion.
  • Support the service coordinator in preparing Health Authority/Quality Control documents for new installations.
  • Update the database of instruments with the service coordinator.
  • Coordinate with Sales team regarding technical information and pre-installation site visits.
  • Share any relevant sales leads/information with the Sales team.
Reporting Requirements
  • Weekly reporting to Line Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma in Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience: 2+ years experience in the biomedical field.
  • Key Skills: Effective communication skills & Good English - Time management skills - Problem-solving skills - Excellent computer skills in Ms. Office – Ability to work under pressure - Customer-centric personality.
  • Additional Details: Candidate will be based in Oman. Must have a valid driving license.
