Job Description

The Junior Lawyer will be responsible for assisting the Litigation Manager in providing legal services to the business. This will involve assuming various responsibilities, including drafting and filing litigation documents, attending court as required, handling legal correspondences and recommending actions, accompanying staff on field activities to resolve disputes and gather information, supporting investigations and liaising with the Human Resources department, documenting legal activities and maintaining a database for reference, evaluating claims against the business and managing their resolution, and drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and filing litigation documents
  • Attending court as required
  • Handling legal correspondences and recommending actions
  • Accompanying staff on field activities
  • Supporting investigations and liaising with HR
  • Documenting legal activities and maintaining a database
  • Evaluating claims against the company and managing their resolution
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualified to appear before Primary Courts of Oman
  • Up-to-date knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills
  • Open and approachable style with excellent interpersonal skills
  • High level of intelligence and business acumen
  • IT literacy
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in law, preferably with a business qualification
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a commercial environment or legal practice
