Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The role is responsible for designing, monitoring, and reviewing all systems related to the quality of products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Ensure Compliance: Develop and implement quality control systems for all incoming and outgoing farm products, ensuring compliance with EU and/or USDA standards.
  • Monitor Product Quality: Conduct daily inspections to ensure product quality and safety meets regulatory requirements.
  • Sampling and Analysis: Oversee product sampling procedures, schedules, and interpretation of microbiological and chemical analysis results.
  • Product Traceability: Ensure correct identification, labeling, and packaging of all products according to EU/USDA standards.
  • Reporting: Provide timely, relevant reports on the performance of quality functions.
  • Maintenance and Equipment Calibration: Assist in ensuring maintenance schedules are adhered to and specialist equipment is calibrated correctly.
  • Product Quarantine and Recall: Implement product quarantine, system reviews, and recalls when necessary.
  • Health and Safety: Assist in maintaining a safe working environment and adhere to the Company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure proper documentation for quality control procedures, maintenance schedules, and product traceability.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 7 years of experience in quality control in the food industry.
  • Education: Qualification in ISO, HACCP, and EU/USDA requirements OR at least 10 years working in a relevant position.
  • Language: Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
Skills:
  • Strong Understanding: Of food safety, animal and plant health, and bio-security procedures.
  • Dynamic Quality Control: Ability to implement and manage dynamic quality control systems.
  • Excel and Word Skills: Experience with Excel and Word for reporting and record-keeping.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to solve problems and work within a diverse team environment.
  • Quality Control Systems: Ability to manage quality control systems effectively.
  • Food Safety Standards: In-depth knowledge of food safety and relevant standards (ISO, HACCP, EU/USDA).
  • Policies and Procedures: Ability to communicate policies and procedures clearly.
  • Organizational Skills: Proficient in problem-solving and managing day-to-day challenges.
  • Reporting Skills: Strong organizational and reporting skills.
