Job Description

A Field Engineer - Civil is responsible for reviewing client technical documentation and requirements. This includes maintaining project technical files and controlling subcontracted civil engineering documents.

The role involves setting up and executing assigned engineering activities such as detail design, verification, and studies relevant to any engineering topic associated with Discipline. The primary objectives are sound engineering and design optimization in terms of costs, fabrication simplicity, and safety.

  • Preparation of design specifications for reinforced concrete, buildings, earthworks, roads, and underground networks, piling works, and soil improvement.
  • Development of calculation notes for reinforced concrete, piling works, and storm water collection systems.
  • Functional layout development of buildings.
  • Preparation of material specifications and architectural designs for buildings.
  • Drainwater and sewage system layout development.
  • Studies for foundations and concrete structures preparation.
  • Material takeoff and bill of quantities preparation.
  • Statement of work and technical specification preparation for civil construction subcontracts.
  • Technical documentation preparation for civil material requisition and assistance in the procurement department's technical evaluations.
  • Civil structure design supervision/approval, constructive drawings of buildings, plot plans, and foundation drawings.
  • Discipline follow-up activities implementation.
  • Field engineering activities implementation.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas Field Engineering
