Our organization seeks a highly skilled Renewable Energy Cost Manager to oversee accurate estimation and effective control of capital and operational costs for renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed capital cost estimates for renewable energy projects, encompassing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) costs, development expenditures, permitting fees, interconnection charges, contingency funds, and indirect costs.
  • Establish cost baselines and budgets based on feasibility studies, market benchmarks, supplier quotations, and engineering inputs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to refine estimates and validate assumptions.
  • Manage and update a cost database for benchmarking purposes across technologies and geographies.
  • Support bid evaluation and commercial negotiation by providing cost breakdowns and sensitivity analyses.
  • Monitor project expenditures and commitments against approved budgets using cost control software or spreadsheets.
  • Track and analyze cost variances, identify risks or trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct monthly cost forecasting and cash flow projections in coordination with finance and project management.
  • Review and validate contractor and supplier invoices and change orders to ensure cost compliance.
  • Prepare regular cost reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders, investors, and lenders.
  • Ensure compliance with project control standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cost estimation and control, preferably in the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven experience supporting utility-scale solar, wind, or hybrid projects from development through construction.
  • Proficiency with cost management tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PRISM, MS Excel) and project scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of cost structures in EPC and renewable energy contracting.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in parallel.
