Electrical Engineering Expert

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team for an exciting new project.

  • Provide on-site electrical engineering expertise throughout the construction and commissioning phases of wind projects
  • Review and monitor the installation of HV/MV electrical systems, including substations, transformers, and transmission lines
  • Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, grid connection standards, and project specifications
  • Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues
  • Witness and report on key electrical testing and commissioning activities
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and updates for the project team
  • Advise on best practices for electrical safety and quality control
Requirements:

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HV/MV electrical engineering, preferably in renewable energy projects
  • In-depth knowledge of Omani electrical standards and grid connection requirements
  • Familiarity with wind farm electrical systems and components
  • Strong understanding of power systems, protection schemes, and control systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
  • Willingness to work on-site for extended periods
  • Previous experience as an Owner's Engineer or in a similar consultancy role
  • Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE) relevant to wind energy projects
  • Experience with SCADA systems and grid integration of renewable energy sources
