We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Professional to join our team as a Banquet Chef.

  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in creating new menu ideas and executing promotional events.
  • Maintain high standards of plating and presentation throughout the kitchen.
  • Ensure that all food preparation meets the agreed standards of authenticity and quality.
  • Identify areas for improvement in food and beverage quality and report them to management.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with colleagues across departments.
  • Manage daily ingredient ordering and requisition processes.
  • Provide leadership and support to kitchen colleagues, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Prepare weekly staff schedules and ensure they are followed.
  • Enforce strict adherence to food safety standards and local regulations.
  • Supervise kitchen cleanliness and follow up on maintenance reports.
  • Oversee the creation of visually appealing food displays that meet presentation standards.
  • Maintain high grooming and appearance standards for staff members.
  • Personalize VIP guest and special dietary needs services.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction aligns with MOHG standards and LQEs.
  • Communicate workplace rules and policies to team members.
  • Counsel and discipline staff members as needed.
  • Participate actively in daily and weekly team meetings.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on dishes and cooking techniques.
  • Share expertise on specialty cuisine with team members.
  • Manage food safety administration for the Essenza restaurant.
  • Comply with Jardine audit requirements for the culinary department.
  • Support other kitchens as required.
  • Stay informed about current food trends to maintain competitive cuisine.
