Job Title: Industrial Sector Product Lead

This role is responsible for leading the development and launch of industrial sector products, ensuring alignment with Canonical's overall vision and strategy. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT, edge computing, and robotics.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for product leadership and a track record of delivering successful product launches. They will be an excellent communicator, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This is a mid-senior level role, requiring a strong balance of technical expertise and business acumen. The successful candidate will be based in the EMEA region and will be expected to travel up to 4 times per year for internal events.

About This Role:
  • Lifecycle management of product development, prioritizing goals and objectives to meet business requirements.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to address common challenges, align priorities, and make informed decisions.
  • Market research and analysis of industry trends, gathering customer feedback to identify opportunities and ensure alignment with company vision.
  • Communicating product vision, status updates, and key decisions to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional academic results at high school and university.
  • Practised product management experience in technical domains related to open source software.
  • Solid knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT, edge computing, and robotics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Commercial astuteness for pricing and product strategy.
