About the Lead Project Manager Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and leading a project management office to oversee the execution of a comprehensive conversion program.

The goal is to ensure seamless communication and coordination between parties as they migrate their card portfolio from one card scheme to another.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a project management office to manage the conversion program;
  • Develop and agree on the Migration Masterplan, considering all necessary elements;
  • Serve as the primary point of contact regarding the conversion program;
  • Lead operational aspects of the conversion, including documenting the proposed customer conversion journey;
  • Collaborate with teams such as IT, Marketing, Procurement, and Product to ensure tasks are executed according to the masterplan;
  • Oversight and driving day-to-day conversion execution;
  • Cross-functional coordination between internal and external stakeholders;
  • Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management for the conversion, ensuring timely escalation when necessary;
  • Regular monitoring and reporting on conversion performance;
  • Driving portfolio optimization activities to achieve desired portfolio behavior post-conversion;
KPIs / OKRs:
  • Successful setup and operation of the project management office.
  • Timely and effective development and agreement of the Migration Masterplan.
  • Adequate documentation of the customer conversion journey.
  • Conversion performance targets achievement.
  • Effective stakeholder coordination and communication.
  • Portfolio optimization activities execution success.
  • Adherence to project timelines and milestones.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., project management, engineering, technology).
  • PMP (or similar) project management certification.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in project management, with a focus on end-to-end project management of complex projects within the banking/payment domain.
  • Strong project management skills, particularly in large-scale conversion programs.
  • Experience working on product launches and solution deployments in multiple markets.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • In-depth understanding of portfolio optimization and customer conversion processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to engage with technology teams to address challenges within project constraints.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and manage project risks.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules and resources, delivering projects on time to required quality standards.
