Software Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software applications and guaranteeing their successful deployment into production environments. You will work closely with the development team to communicate product vision and priorities, re-prioritize the Product Backlog, and determine whether the product is ready for release to customers.

Key Skills:
  • Experience in Static and Dynamic Testing
  • Knowledge of Test Management and Requirement Management Tools
  • Familiarity with Security Testing tools is beneficial
  • Understanding of STLC and test process phases
  • Knowledge of faults, test cases, and scenario prioritization
Responsibilities:
  • Communicate product vision and priorities to the development team
  • Re-prioritize the Product Backlog, adjusting long-term expectations such as release plans
  • Determine whether the product is ready for release to customers
  • Create stories from requirement specifications
  • Estimate the size and time required for each story
  • Manage and assign stories to developers
  • Monitor project progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct static testing (verification of business needs, documented requirements, system requirement specifications)
  • Perform dynamic testing (validation of constructed builds, unit testing, integration testing, system testing, UAT)
  • Create test cases and scenarios using various techniques
  • Conduct functional testing (including smoke, sanity, regression testing)
  • Carry out non-functional testing (usability, UI, performance, security, compatibility, recovery testing)
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
  • Up to 3 years' experience or recent graduates in a related field
  • Experience in Static and Dynamic Testing
  • Knowledge of Test Management and Requirement Management Tools
  • Familiarity with Security Testing tools is beneficial
  • Understanding of STLC and test process phases
  • Knowledge of faults, test cases, and scenario prioritization
  • Proficiency in J2EE technologies (EJB, JSP, Servlets), Web Services, Java XML APIs, C++, C#, browsers, cookies, XML, HTML
  • Familiarity with Oracle 11g
  • Knowledge of UML Design and Gap Analysis
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
  • Strong analytical thinking and time management skills
