Hotel Steward Leadership Opportunity

Daily Responsibilities and Challenges

To guarantee the smooth functioning of the stewarding department, provide guidance and support to staff as a supervisor. Oversee daily activities of all team members in stewarding, including facilities management, operations, and costs.

Ensure high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, hygiene, product quality, and exceptional service by maintaining them.

Closely monitor proper use of chemicals and cleaning equipment to maintain a safe environment.

Collaborate with the Stewarding Manager to establish par stock levels and approve storeroom requisitions.

Work closely with Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or Outlet Manager to determine their requirements for the day and the next day.

Manage health inspection records, attendance records, and files for casual employees effectively.

Take proactive measures to minimize the loss of silverware/flatware.

Adhere to hotel policies and procedures that prioritize guests' and employees' health and safety, as well as the environment.

Requirements and Expectations

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in Stewarding, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
